Sikhism and Islam

Misconception;-
Sikhs are Muslims both have long beards, both have long hairs, both wear turbans, both have domes over their religious places.

Now the truth; There ends all the similarity;
Sikh History and Islam;
The 5th Guru Arjan was martyred by the Mughal ruler Jahangir on 16 May 1606 for refusing to convert to Islam. The reason for 5th Guru Arjun Dev Sahib's martyrdom is evidenced by an entry made in Jahangir's autobiography. "In Goindwal, on bank of river Beas lived a Hindu by the name of Arjun in the guise of a Pir Fakir (eminent mendicant). He not only persuaded many innocent Hindus, but some naive and ignorant Muslims also to be his devotees; and was loudly beating his drum to proclaim his pious eminence and closeness to the God. People called him guru and came from all directions to congregate around him. They (the Sikh Gurus) have operated this prolific business briskly for three to four generations. Often the idea had come to my mind to either put an end to this nefarious business or to convert him to Islam. I was totally aware of his scam so I ordered that he be arrested, brought before me, his children be turned over to Murtza Khan (Governor of Punjab), his property be confiscated and he should be tortured to death." He was asked to convert to Islam (wear a topi). He refused. He was then made to sit on a burning hot sheet while boiling hot sand was poured over his body. After enduring five days of unrelenting torture Guru Arjan was taken for a bath in the river. As thousands watched he entered the river never to be seen again.

Immortal souls Kashmiri Pandit Shri Matidas, Kashmiri Pandit Satidas and Pandit Dayala who sacrificed their lives to save the life of Guru Teg Bahadur.

When pundits from Kashmir came to Guru Teg Bahadur to pray for freedom from the atrocities of Aurangzeb, he went to Delhi to meet him. Both Kashmiri Pandit Matidas and Pandit Satidas and Pandit Dayala who were accompanying him were taken prisoner. The first two of these were real brothers.

Aurangzeb wanted Guruji to become a Muslim. To scare them, all three were tortured and killed; But Guruji was not perturbed. Aurangzeb first asked Pandit Matidas to cut the saw into two parts on November 9, 1675. They were tied to two big wooden planks and a saw was started on their heads. When the saw sank into the head by two-three inches, the Qazi told him, Pandit ji – accept Islam even now. Royal myrrh will heal your wounds. You will be given a high position in the court and you will be married five times.

Pandit Matidas asked sarcastically - Qazi, if I accept Islam, will I never die? Qazi said how is this possible. Whoever has come to earth has to die. Brother laughed and said - If your religion of Islam cannot save me from death, then why should I not choose death while remaining in my holy Sanatan Dharma?

He told the executioner to use his saw faster, so that he can reach his Lord's abode quickly. Saying this he started laughing loudly. Qazi said that he had gone mad due to fear of death. Pandit ji said – I am not scared. I am happy that I am firm on religion. The one who remains steadfast in his religion has redness on his face; But the face of one who turns away from religion becomes black. Within a short time his body broke into two pieces.

The next day, on 10 November, his younger brother Satidas was wrapped in cotton and burnt. Pandit Dayala was killed by boiling in water.

The Guru was put in chains and ordered to be tortured until he would accept Islam. Refusing to do so, Guru Tegh Bahadur was beheaded at Chandni Chowk on 11 November 1675. Guru Tegh Bahadur is popularly known as "Hind Di Chadar". His head was carried by Bhai Jaita, a disciple of the Guru, to Anandpur where the nine-year old Guru Gobind Singh cremated it. (The gurdwara at this spot is also called Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib).The body, before it could be quartered, was stolen under the cover of darkness by Lakhi Shah Vanjara, another disciple who carried it in a cart of hay and cremated it by burning his hut. At this spot, the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib stands today. Later on, the Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, was built at Chandni Chowk at the site of Guru’s martyrdom.
The ancestors of Pandit Matidas and Satidas, residents of village Karyala, district Jhelum Kashmir, have a special place in Sikh history. His great grandfather Pandit Paraga ji was the commander of the sixth Guru Hargobind. He sacrificed his life in the war against the Mughals. Seeing his dedication, the Gurus gave his family the title of 'Bhai'. Pandit Mukund Rai, the only son of Pandit Matidas, was also sacrificed in the battle of Chamkaur.Pandit Matidas's nephews Sahabchand and Dharmchand were Diwans of Guru Gobind Singh. Saheb Chand sacrificed his life to protect Ahmed Shah Abdali in the battle on the Beas River and during the attack on the Harimandir in Amritsar. Revolutionary Pandit Balmukund of this dynasty was hanged on May 8, 1915 at the age of only 26. His saintly wife Ramrakhi died at home at the time of her husband's execution.Pandit Parmanand, who inspired hundreds of revolutionaries in Lahore, was also a bright star of this dynasty. Someone has rightly said -

Surah So recognize the one who fought for the religion.

Every part is cut off, leaving no trace of the field.

Just as the martyrdom of Pandit Dayala, Kashmiri Pandit Bhai Matidas and Sati Das could not save Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, similarly the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji could not save even a single Kashmiri Pandit. The Muslims you see in Kashmir are actually Kashmiri Pandits who converted to Islam due to the fear of death at the hands of Aurangzeb.

The two sons of 10th Guru Gobind, Zorawar (9 years old) and Fateh (7 years old) were offered safe passage if they became Muslims (wear a topi). Both refused, and so Wazir Khan sentenced them to death. They were bricked alive at Fatehgarh Sahib. Madhodas Bairagi, a Kashmiri Pandit (Dogra Brahim), commonly known as Banda Bahadur, defeated Mughal forces and beheaded Wazir Khan.

The 5th Sikh Guru Arjan Dev Ji was killed for being a Hindu. The 9th Guru jTeg Bahadur ji laid down his life along with his two Brahim companions for the freedom of Brahims to exercise their religion. hence, the Brahims gave a call that first born male of the Punjabi Hindu Family is given to the Sikh Panth to grow up as a highly skilled Warrior as protector of religious freedom and pacifist Hindus.

Islam prevailed over Sikhs during a short period prior to 1984 when they gave weapons to a fringe group of Sikhs to attack and take control of Golden Temple. Islamic forces supplied  Ak 47s, Ak56s and RPGs. With the help of these weapons, mass Killings became a daily affair with people being shot in markets, buses, trains and parks. Blood of innocents flowed in the streets. A total of 11,694, innocents were killed out of whom 7,139 were innocent Sikhs. Islamic forces also supplied anti tank mines, machine guns, bombs, rocket launchers etc with which they destroyed Golden Temple and converted it to fortified military garrison Everyday they paraded deadly weapons on parikarma of Holy temple threatening and overawing devotees. Golden Temple came under complete subjugation of Islamic forces and became a place of torture, rape, extortion and death. Young girl devotees were kidnapped and raped. Sikh devotees were tortured, money extorted and killed. Dead bodies of Sikh devotees were found in severs of golden temple almost on daily basis.  In an operation which began on 3rd June 1984, Indian army finally freed the Golden Temple from Islamic control/supporters for peaceful use and possession of Gurudwaras by Sikhs. Link. What better day than the anniversary of 5th Guru Arjan Dev Ji (which fell on 3rd June in 1984) who was 1st Sikh Guru to lay down his life rather than be under control of Islamic forces (supra) to liberate the Golden Temple from Islamic control or fringe group of terrorists.
