History

Auschwitz is the most well known and the most talked about of the German camps.  Located in Poland it was originally constructed for political prisoners but quickly became a work camp and consisted of 39 sites.  Auschwitz I was the original camp and served as the administrative center for the whole complex.  The first prisoners were 30 Jewish communists transferred from a prison in Germany.  Next came Polish political prisoners, mainly Catholics but some Jews as well.  Some Soviet Prisoners of War were also interred there, common German criminals, "anti-social elements (communists) and 49 German homosexuals who had committed sex crimes.  The entrance is marked with the sign "Arbeit macht Frei" "work makes one free."  After all, it was a work camp.

Construction on Auschwitz II (Birkenau) began in October 1941 to ease congestion at the main camp.  The surrounding work camps were connected to German industry and included arms factories, foundries and mines.  They used the prisoners for most of the labor.  The largest work camp was Auschwitz III (Monowitz).  It started operations in May 1942 and was associated with the synthetic rubber and liquid fuel plant  Buna-Werke owned by IG Farben.  Eleven thousand laborers worked at Monowitz.  Seven thousand inmates worked at various chemical plants.  Eight thousand worked in mines. Approximately 40,000 prisoners worked in labor camps at Auschwitz .  Some put the number of prisoners who worked at Auschwitz as 83,000.  We don't know the exact number but what is clear is that tens of thousands of prisoners worked for the German war effort in the Auschwitz prison complex.

The largest subcamps were built at Trzebinia, Blechhammer and Althammer.  Female subcamps were constructed at Budy, Flawy, Zabrze, Gleiwitz I, Ii, III, Rajsko and at Lichtenwerden (now Světlá).

• January 25, 1940 The Germans decide to construct a prison for political prisoners in Poland, Auschwitz
• May 20, 1940 The first camp prisoners – 30 recidivist criminals from Sachsenhausen (prison in Germany that housed political prisoners, mainly communists) – arrive at Auschwitz.  They were numbered 1-10 and were Jewish.  They became Kapos of the prison.
• June 14, 1940.  First mass transport, consisting of 728 Polish political prisoners from Tarnow.   They were mainly Catholics and communists and a few Jews.
• March 1, 1941 Reichsführer SS and Chief of German Police Heinrich Himmler inspects Auschwitz. Because nearby factories use prisoners for forced labor, Himmler is concerned about the prisoner capacity of the camp. On this visit, he orders both the expansion of Auschwitz I camp facilities to hold 30,000 prisoners and the building of a camp near Birkenau for an expected influx of 100,000 Soviet prisoners of war. Himmler also orders that the camp supply 10,000 prisoners for forced labor to construct an IG Farben factory complex at Dwory, about a mile away.

I.G. Farbenindustrie AG (IG Farben) was a chemical company formed in 1925 from a number of major companies that had been working together closely since World War I. During its heyday IG Farben was the fourth-largest company in the world, after General Motors, US Steel and Standard Oil.

IG Farben built a factory (named Buna Chemical Plant) for producing synthetic oil and rubber (from coal) in Auschwitz that employed up to 83,000 of the prisoners.  (we're not sure this number is accurate)  They also held the patent for the pesticide Zyklon B which is alleged to have been used to kill prisoners but was actually used for its intended patent...a PESTICIDE to kill fleas and lice in order to SAVE lives from the dreaded TYPHUS which killed so many at the end of the war when transportation lines were heavily bombed by the allies and Germany was in chaos and in retreat.

24 of the directors were indicted at Nuremburg, 13 sentenced to prison terms from one to eight years.  No one was safe from the anti-German war hystia.

• February 15, 1942 The first transport of Jews from Bytom in German-annexed Upper Silesia arrives in Auschwitz I.
• March, 1942 - Women's camp is established.
• February 26, 1943 The first transport of Roma (Gypsies) from Germany arrives at Auschwitz. The SS authorities house them in Section B-IIe of Auschwitz-Birkenau, which becomes known as the "Gypsy family camp."
• January 18 - 27, 1945 As Soviet units approach, the SS evacuates to the west the prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp complex.
• January 27, 1945 Soviet troops enter the Auschwitz camp complex and liberate approximately 7,000 prisoners remaining in the camp who were too weak to be evacuated.
• April 17, 1946 Polish communist government decides to close down and dismantle the prison camp and build a mausoleum for the German camp.

The true reason for the existence of the Auschwitz camp is revealed in these rarely shown pictures of the industrial complex which surrounded the camp - most of it within full view of the interior of the camp itself.  On the right is the Monowitz industrial complex, where most of Auschwitz's inmates were put to work in a variety of heavy industries, ranging from rubber manufacture, medical supplies and armaments.  The picture on the left is the tailor's workshop at Auschwitz I where prisoners would make clothing for use by the German army.

That's why the prisoner's had a tattoo -- to keep track of the workers.  Prisoners couldn't switch identity cards with a permanent tattoo.  Nor could the "ID card" be lost or stolen or traded.  The idea of a permanent form of marking the workers might be repulsive to us today but it was efficient and only had to be done once -- and it was cheaper than constantly making ID cards from paper that was scarce

Think about it, why should the Germans bother to take the time to tattoo people they were going to kill?

The Germans are known for their efficiency and this was definitely not efficient - a big time waster for people who were destined to die -- if that's what the Germans were going to do to the Jews

Jewish Version Auschwitz-Birkenau Easily the most notorious of all the killing centers, Auschwitz-Birkenau had a dual function: a concentration camp where inmates were used as forced labor and an extermination center. There were eventually three camps at Auschwitz. The first camp was built, on orders from Heinrich Himmler, shortly after Poland's defeat, in a suburb of Oswiecim and was designed to hold about 10,000 political prisoners. Upon entering the gates of Auschwitz I, the prisoners saw over the main entrance the words; "Arbeit Macht Frei" (work will make you free). These words were to promote the false hope that hard work by the prisoners would result in their freedom. Indeed the camp, and later the "Buna" of Auschwitz III, made extensive use of slave labor; however, death was the only real escape. Auschwitz I held the commandant's office and living quarters, the administration building, kitchen, infirmary, the main guard station, one gas chamber and crematorium, the Gestapo camp, medical experiments center and gallows. Barracks housed the criminals in the camp. These barracks held the "court rooms" where the prisoners were "tried" and usually sentenced to death. The execution area was located in the southwest corner of the camp and was used for carrying out the sentences by lining the prisoners against the wall and shooting them. Their bodies were placed in gravel pits in and around the main camp. Auschwitz I was surrounded by double barbed wire electric fences and nine watch towers. Auschwitz also became a location for medical experiments that used humans as the guinea pigs. Most notorious of the doctors of these experiments was Josef Mengele whose favorite experiments were on twins. Experiments were also done on dwarfs. Hypothermia experiments were carried out using Gypsies as the primary subjects. The second site, known as Auschwitz II, or Birkenau, was located 1.5 miles from the original camp. Construction began in October 1941.  Rudolf Hoess was named the commandant of the camp. Under his command, the main goal of the camp was the extermination and elimination of all the prisoners. More than any of the killing centers in the Nazi system, Auschwitz exemplifies the rationalization of murder. It was most efficient camp established by the Nazi regime for carrying out the "Final Solution." The total number of Jewish dead in Auschwitz-Birkenau will never be known for certain for most were not registered. Estimates vary between one and two and a half million. When these experiments proved inadequate, four large Krema, each containing a disrobing area, a gas chamber and crematorium were constructed between March and June, 1943. The crematories and gas chamber equipments, constructed by Hoch und Tiefbau AG Kattowitz, were delivered by the Erfurt firm J.A. Topf & sons. At it's peak, more than 20.000 people could be murdered and their bodies burned in a single day. In fact, the single day highest output was 24,000. Jews comprised the largest number of victims; at least one-third of the estimated 5 million to 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis during World War II died there. For this reason, Auschwitz has come to symbolize Holocaust more vividly than any other symbol. In addition to the Jews, however, large numbers of Poles, Soviet prisoners of war, gypsies, and homosexuals also died at Auschwitz. During peak operation from March, 1942 until November, 1944, trains arrived almost daily with transports of Jews from all over occupied Europe. On the unloading ramp, new arrivals would undergo selection (selektion) by SS officers. Most women, children, and those that looked unfit to work were sent to the left; while most young men and others that were fit would be sent to the right. The left line meant immediate death at the gas chambers and the right meant probable death from hard forced labor. The selection split families - mothers from their children, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters. Those selected for forced labor were sent to a part of the camp called the "quarantine, " where their heads were shaved and the were issued prison uniforms before being sent one of the labor camps nearby. These prisoners were registered and received numbers tattooed on their left arm. Initially the numbers were tattooed on the left side of the chest. Approximately 405,000 prisoners were registered in this way. The vast majority of the Auschwitz victims were not registered at all, those men and women who, upon arrival Auschwitz II, were led to the gas chambers and killed there immediately. Only about 65,000 of the tattooed inmates survived the camp experience.

No -- and here's the proof

No other myth of the "Holocaust" is more hateful and anti-German than that they "gassed" the Jews, and others, in their hysterical hatred to "exterminate" them.

Were there gas chambers at any German concentration camp?

This has been conclusively proved false

The Leuchter Report, written by Fred Leuchter Jr., proved beyond a doubt that no gas chamber ever existed in any German concentration camp.  Leuchter, who believed in the holocaust and in gas chambers, was the foremost expert in the United States on the subject when he was hired by Ernst Zundel to go to Poland and Germany and give an unbiased report for him at his Canadian trial.  Zundel took a risk.  Leuchter was a believer in the Holocaust and could come back with a report that reflected his bias.  But Leuchter was first and foremost a truthful man and, much to his surprise, discovered that the gas chamber story was a hoax.  He says:

1988 was a very informative and likewise disturbing year. I was appalled to learn that much of what I was taught in school about twentieth-century history and World War II was a myth, if not a lie. I was first amazed; then annoyed; then aware: the myth of the Holocaust was dead.

Leuchter discovered that while there are substantial concentrations (between 9 and 147 micrograms per 100g) of cyanide residues in ten samples taken from the walls of the rooms and chambers where cyanide gas was used for disinfecting the slave-labourers' clothing, there are none whatever in ten samples taken from rooms identified in countless war crimes trials as the lethal gas chambers also using this Zyklon B (hydrogen cyanide) gas, apart from a " vanishingly small" trace in one column in Birkenau, compatible with routine disinfectant operations. Forensic tests on human hair samples were also negative. A Polish investigation in 1990, which has been kept secret, verified this report. Then, surprise, the Canadian court wouldn't allow his report into evidence!  But the Leuchter Report was released afterwards and conclusively proved the hoax.  Others have as well.

The original German architectural building plans for Auschwitz have survived, and are on display at the camp museum to this day. There are no gas chambers on these original plans - and given the specialist construction which would be required to build chambers capable of killing thousands of people at a time (as is claimed) it seems extremely unlikely that the plans in question would not have shown these structures. It is claimed that the rooms marked as mortuaries (in German, "leichenkellers") on the building plans were used as gas chambers - a claim which is highly dubious, given the technical demands which an airtight chamber being used for mass gassings, would require.

The Auschwitz Museum admits that these were "reconstructed.  They even admit to making openings in the roof of the "gas chamber!"  Openings that were never in the original plans since this was never intended to be a gas chamber. The new death number for Jews killed at Auschwitz is somewhere around a million.  The only way the Jews can get this number to work since the Germans were meticulous record keepers and the Soviets have finally opened their archives is to claim that

Even estimates of the number of people who died at Auschwitz -- allegedly the main extermination center -- are no longer clear cut. At the postwar Nuremberg Tribunal, the Allies charged that the Germans exterminated four million people at Auschwitz.  Until 1990, a memorial plaque at Auschwitz read: "Four Million People Suffered and Died Here at the Hands of the Nazi Murderers Between the Years 1940 and 1945."  During a 1979 visit to the camp, Pope John Paul II stood before this memorial and blessed the four million victims.

Jewish lies and distortion

IN 1999 the Simon Wiesenthal Center published on its website a photograph (below right) with this caption: "As these prisoners were being processed for slave labor, many of their friends and families were being gassed and burned in the ovens in the crematoria. The smoke can be seen in the background. June 1944".

By Friday, May 5, 2000 the caption has been surreptitiously and guiltily changed to: "As these prisoners were being processed for slave labor, many of their friends and families were being gassed and burned in the ovens in the crematoria."

The fake smoke was however still in the photo. . .

Update (as of Sunday, December 3, 2000): Caught red-handed in their forgery, the SWC has removed the fake smoke from the photograph at the above link.

When checked on Monday, August 11, 2003 the photograph had been wholly removed, and replaced with the words "Photo not available." Well it was, (and still is below), but it was a fake, wasn't it? We have archived the page (click image, left), in case the Center decides that admitting the fakery was a bad idea.

Auschwitz - fabricated medical experiment photo This 'photograph' is widely distributed over the internet on 'Holocaust' remembrance sites, and purports to be evidence of medical experiments performed by 'evil' Nazi doctors at the 'death' camp Auschwitz. "Never Forget"       Examine this portion of the photo. Is it real?? Look at the detail and shading of the chest. Then re-examine the whole 'photo'. Look at the the other 'bodies'. Basic scrutiny reveals that it is a photograph of a  painting (and a very bad one at that) to which cut out photos of heads have been added. The heads are all realistic, but the bodies are just ridiculous.                                     The whole thing does not make any sense. Are the facial expressions those of someone whose bodies have so obviously been subjected to horrendous experimentation???  Exactly what type of experiment was it anyway?? The game is up - this 'photo' is a lie.  Why do fake 'photographs' need to be manufactured ? The obvious answer is that there are no real ones, and this whole 'Evil Nazi Medical Experiments', should more correctly be titled 'Evil Jewish Hoax'. These lies have been used to deflect from the real crimes of WW2, create anti-German hatred throughout the world, and justify the invasion and occupation of Palestine and the continuing genocide of it's people - a real holocaust. www.australiafreepress.org

Auschwitz Evacuated as the Soviets Advanced The evacuation of all able bodied inmates from Auschwitz by the Nazis meant that only the elderly, children or sick remained behind in that camp when it was overrun by the advancing Soviet army. Herein lies another interesting but suppressed fact: as the pictures below show, the inmates of Auschwitz, as photographed shortly after the camp was overrun in January 1945, were the sickest and most disabled of all the prisoners - yet they actually do not look that sick or undernourished at all.     Jewish propaganda says that "women and children were gassed upon arrival at Auschwitz." Why are there women and children being liberated? Inmates at Auschwitz, too infirm or sick to be evacuated by the Nazis, photographed in Auschwitz in January 1945. Note that they are warmly dressed, reasonably fed and do not resemble the emaciated corpses which are almost universally portrayed as evidence of Nazi extermination programs. The fact that so many women, children and infirm were still in the camp, and had not been "gassed", is yet another factor against the veracity of the "mass gassing" allegation - for if the story were true, those too sick to work, or too young, were "gassed upon arrival." That this did not happen, is proved by the fact that there were so many children and infirm in the camp. It is far past time for an international investigation conducted by truly impartial scientists, researchers and scholars into the reality of Auschwitz to properly and as accurately as possible bring history into accord with the facts. Peoples of all religions and persuasions have a right to such facts. So far, as the following data demonstrates, much of it from the world's foremost Jewish Holocaust scholars, we are a long way from a consensus on the truth of what happened at Auschwitz in WWII.

The Plaques At Auschwitz

The ever declining numbers of alleged dead at Auschwitz are graphically illustrated by the plaques from the camp.

The first is the plaque that was on display at the Auschwitz camp from 1948 until 1989 and states "4 million" victims perished.

The second plaque currently on display at Auschwitz has the dramatically reduced number of victims to now only "1.5 million"...a casual reduction in the number of deaths by an incredible 2.5 million.

So, the official deaths at Auschwitz drop by a stunning 2.5 million, but the legendary overall Holocaust figure of 6,000,000 dead remains the same...

In fact, the figure of 4,000,000 was later repudiated by the Auschwitz museum officials in 1990 but the figure of 1,500,000 victims was not formally announced by Polish President Lech Walesa until five years after the Auschwitz historians had first announced their discovery.

Source: In 1995 this was the number of Auschwitz deaths announced by Polish President Lech Walesa as determined by those at the Auschwitz museum. This number was inscribed on the monument at the Auschwitz camp at that time, thereby "replacing" the earlier 4,000,000 figure that had been formally repudiated (and withdrawn from the monument) five years earlier in 1990. At that time, on July 17, 1990 The Washington Times reprinted a brief article from The London Daily Telegraph citing the "new" figure of 1,500,000 that had been determined by the authorities at the Auschwitz museum. This new figure was reported two years later in a UPI report published in the New York Post on March 26, 1992. On January 26, 1995 both The Washington Post and The New York Times cited this 1,500,000 figure as the new "official" figure (citing the Auschwitz Museum authorities).

Source: This is an estimate based on documents held by the International Tracing Service of the Red Cross. It is known that International Tracing Service has a complete set of registration documents. This is thought to include a complete set of roll-call data which includes twice daily tallies of those who died. Although the International Tracing Service of the Red Cross has such records, they have never officially published an accurate count of those who died, or even an accurate report as to exactly which documents they hold. However, totals from these records have been obtained by various interested parties.

The estimate of 135,500 is roughly corroborated by the "Auschwitz death books." The death books themselves are wartime German camp records, which were captured by the Soviets towards the end of the war, and hidden in Soviet achieves, until released to the Red Cross in 1989.

The death books consist of 46 volumes which document each death at Auschwitz (each death certificate consists of the deceased person's full name, profession and religion, date and place of birth, pre- Auschwitz residence, parents' names, time of death, and cause of death as determined by a camp physician). The records for the most important years, 1942 and 1943, are almost complete (there are also a few volumes for the year 1941, but none for the year 1944 or January 1945 (when Auschwitz was evacuated).

The Grand Total?

Using all available wartime records from the various camps it has been estimated that between 400,000 and 500,000 people died in the entire German concentration camp system (from all causes).

What Holocaust?

Jewish propaganda will say that the Germans just didn't count the Jews.  They were murdered before they could be counted.  Or Jewish propaganda says that Germans didn't give Jews death certificates.  Where's the logic in that?  Why count some but not others?  Obviously 200,000 were counted!  And 30,000 have death certificates.
